Here's a picture of my fathers first calf of 2006, and her mother. The cow was keeping a watchful eye on her calf and me as I climbed across gates and walls to take the picture. I had my shoes on and I didn't want to get them destroyed with dung, so I had to do a bit of farmyard acrobatics to get into position on a gate for the picture. I would have liked to be able to take the photo from a lower view point, but would have fallen off the gate. Also if I had waited the bedding would have been changed, which would have brightened up the picture a bit. Even so I'm pretty happy with the result.
