Actually I think it's a Cormorant. Normally these birds would be found on cliffs and islands on sheltered coasts. But during the winter they can be seen on estuaries, resevoirs and rivers. Often you would see them with their wings spread to dry out after a spot of fishing. This one seems quite happy just having a look around. 
Hi. I have always been interested in photography from a point and shoot point of view. I recently got a Canon EOS350D as a wedding gift, and I just haven't put it down. I have also just bought a Sigma 70-300mm lens and it has really broadened the possibilities of the camera. I started out with a Sony DSC-F1, moved onto a Kodak DC215 (Big mistake), then a Sony DSC P50 before I got my first SLR - the EOS350D. I like to take candid photography, and find that the best photos are the ones that people don't know you're taking. I also love taking nature shots and abstract images, but I think with abstract photography, the beauty really does tend to be in the eye of the beholder, but since this is my LifeBlog, I will put them in anyway. So, that's the introduction, I hope you like the photos, and if you drop back every once in a while I hope you'll notice that my skills are getting better, as I very much hope they do.
