I was back on the Grand Canal today, and this time I had company. My wife and dog were with me, and we were out for a cycle. We started from Hazelhatch which is between Celbridge and Newcastle and headed towards Sallins, and turned back after about 9 miles or an hour and a half. The day was lovely, with a bit of a chill in the air, but the sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We picked the track from a book called "Towpath Tours - A guide to Cycling irelands Waterways" which I got from Belinda for Christmas.
